Save the Date and Spread the Word!

Our Holiday Gift Market Fundraiser is officially on the books and we would love for you to join the fun! We’ll have handmade gifts, unique crafts, amazing silent auction items and a lot more on November 18th with the proceeds going toward our adoption fund.

The Back Story

We expect our adoption to cost around $30,000, most of which is due prior to meeting our baby. Although it seems daunting, we are hoping to complete our adoption without taking on debt. We have trimmed our budget and cut out expenses in every area possible. We are saving up as much as we can and I will be putting my best grant writing skills to work as soon as our homestudy is complete. Along with these strategies, we decided to run one main fundraising event to help us over this financial hurdle.

What Does the Money Pay For?

Our agency, Hope’s Promise, will conduct the homestudy, provide training and support throughout the entire adoption process and oversee all of the legal procedures involved in the adoption. They provide free counseling and support to birthmothers and when a birthmom chooses us, the agency will handle every detail to facilitate the adoption. In other words, they will personally walk with us and with our child’s birthmom every step of the way. It’s a lot of work, it requires a lot of expertise and it’s worth every penny!

The Fun Part

The Holiday Gift Market is sure to be a blast and everyone is invited to come and check it out. We’ll have good food, great things to buy and fun activities for the kids while you shop! Spread the word and invite your friends! We look forward to seeing you there!
